These terms apply when you use HanziStory or purchase a HanziStory digital learning product. By completing a purchase, you agree to the product description, price, and policies shown at checkout.

Free learning service

Current character lessons, pronunciation, stroke order, examples, basic practice, Google sign-in, progress sync, and review schedules remain available without purchasing the Founding Beta Pack. HanziStory may improve or expand these features over time.

Founding Beta Pack

The Founding Beta Pack is a one-time digital purchase for the features listed on the pricing page at the time of purchase. It is not a monthly or annual subscription and does not automatically enrol you in a future plan.

Account and access

Paid access is connected to the Google account signed in during checkout. You are responsible for using an account you control and for keeping access to that account secure. Contact HanziStory if a completed payment is not connected to the expected account.

Payments

Payments are processed by PayPal. The checkout displays the final currency and amount before approval. You must not attempt to reverse engineer checkout, grant yourself access without payment, or use another person’s payment account without permission.

Educational information

HanziStory is an educational aid, not an official examination provider. Stories and memory clues support recall; documented historical notes are separated from modern mnemonics. Learning outcomes vary by learner and are not guaranteed.

Availability and fair use

We may maintain, correct, or improve the service and may temporarily interrupt access for technical reasons. You may use purchased materials for your own learning. You may not resell, republish, scrape in bulk, or redistribute the site’s paid materials as a competing product.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled under the Refund Policy. Rights that cannot legally be limited in your country or region continue to apply.
